There is also a museum which is housing more than two thousand artifacts of the Island. This museum is allocated in the colorful village of Trinity. Another place to visit is the Fort Amherst which is a cultural heritage of the island.

The island offers to its visitors are number of activities such as a major hiking trail. This trail is along the eastern edge of the Avalon Peninsula. The eastern coast trail is stretched out for 200 and 20 kilo meters.
It begins from the fort of Amherst in St John’s and It ends at the Cappahayden, with an additional trail under construction. Another interesting thing to do on this island is the viewing of icebergs close up on a boat trip.
